Privacy policy

This page explains what this site collects, why, and what you can ask me to do with it. It's short because the site collects very little.

Who is responsible

I'm Edgar Antonio Hez, an independent web designer and developer based in Mexico. I'm responsible for the personal data this site collects. For any privacy question or request, write to hola@edgarantoniohez.com.

What I collect and why

Messages you send. When you email me, message me on Slack or send a brief, I receive your name, email address and what you write. I use it to reply and to scope a project. The basis is your request.

Booking an intro call. When you book a call, Cal.com records your name, email, the time you pick and any notes. I use it to hold the call. The basis is your request.

Analytics, only if you accept. With your consent, Google Analytics records the pages you visit, where you came from, your approximate country and your device type. I use it to see which pages help people and which don't. The basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

Server logs. Webflow, which hosts the site, records technical data such as your IP address and browser to keep the site running and secure. The basis is my legitimate interest in a working, safe site.

Cookies and device storage

The site stores two things in your browser, and neither tracks you: your consent choice, so the banner doesn't ask again for a year, and your light or dark theme, if you switch it. Google Analytics sets cookies only after you accept. You can change your choice at any time from Cookie settings in the footer.

Who else handles your data

I don't sell or share your personal data for advertising. These providers process it on my behalf:

  • Webflow, which hosts the site.
  • Cloudflare, which protects forms from spam.
  • Google, for analytics, only with your consent.
  • Cal.com, for intro calls.
  • Slack, for messages you send me there.
  • My email provider, for email.

Transfers outside your country

Some of these providers store data in the United States. Where your law requires it, the transfer relies on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework or on standard contractual clauses.

How long I keep it

Messages and booking details: up to two years after our last contact, or longer if a project's records require it. Analytics: two months. Your consent choice: one year in your browser. Your theme: until you clear your browser's storage.

Your rights

You can ask me to show you the data I hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop using it, and to send it to you in a portable format. In Mexico these are your ARCO rights. In the European Union and the United Kingdom you can also complain to your data protection authority. In California you can ask what I collect and ask me to delete or correct it; I don't sell or share personal data. Write to hola@edgarantoniohez.com and I'll reply within 20 business days.

Children

This site is for businesses and isn't directed at children. I don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.

Security

The site runs over HTTPS, and only I can read the messages and bookings it receives. No system is perfectly secure, so please don't send passwords or payment details by email or Slack.

Changes

When this policy changes, I update the date at the top of this page. If a change affects how your data is used, I'll ask for your consent again where the law requires it.
